It's programme features brand-new exhibitions by great masters such as Joaquín Sorolla, Alphonse Mucha and Marc Chagall, among others, making this an unmissable visit for all art lovers.

The venue is strongly committed to making its contribution to enriching the cultural fabric of Barcelona by hosting exhibitions of great masters from the history of art.

Palau Martorell and Arthemisia, in collaboration with the Fundación Fernando Botero, are pleased to present the biggest ever exhibition of Fernando Botero's work held in Spain, and the first large-scale exhibition dedicated to the artist in Barcelona.

Curated by Lina Botero and Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz, the exhibition explores Fernando Botero's extraordinary versatility in the use of different artistic techniques and how this made his work so incredibly rich.

Displaying over 110 of the artist's works, many previously never exhibited, from private collections, the exhibition includes sculptures, oils and watercolours, as well as sanguine, charcoal and pencil drawings.

Areas of barcelona Ciutat Vella

To know Ciutat Vella is to know the origins of Barcelona: the old Barcino. The essence of what we know today as the historical nucleus of the city arose from the walled enclosure that surrounded it, where the Roman ruins coexist with medieval Gothic.
